Sophrology
Phenomenological sophrology
DEFINITION
Sophrology is a psycho-corporeal method created in the 1960s by the Colombian neuropsychiatrist Alfonso Caycedo. Inspired by Eastern practices such as yoga, Tibetan Buddhism and Zen meditation, sophrology also integrates elements from Western psychology and phenomenology. The objective of the method is to use simple tools that can be easily used on a daily basis so that you can be an actor of well-being and autonomous in your practice.
Sophrology combines different techniques of muscle relaxation, breathing and visualization which allow you to find balance and well-being on a daily basis, harmony between body and mind.
MUSCLE RELAXATION
Dynamic relaxation is based on a series of slow movements performed in harmony with breathing. These gestures combined with the power of intention stimulate the body and mind
BREATHING
Breathing is the gateway to sophrology exercises. Good breathing control allows you to quickly return to a state of calm and physical, emotional and mental well-being.
